Oct 19, 2024
The Korean Pharmacology Association (Chairman Kang Joo-seop, Pharmacology Class at Hanyang University School of Medicine) will hold the 76th Autumn Academic Conference in Jeju from November 7-8 to mark its 76th anniversary this year. The conference will be held along with the 25th Korea-Japan Pharmacology Joint Seminar, where researchers from both countries will present and exchange the latest research results.
The Korean Society of Pharmacology, a representative pharmacology academic organization in Korea, includes researchers from more than 40 medical universities and 37 pharmaceutical universities nationwide, as well as researchers from various bio fields such as the pharmaceutical industry, research institutes, and national institutions. The conference has been providing a venue for active academic exchanges among members through academic conferences every spring and fall, and the tradition will continue at this fall conference.
In addition, the Korean Pharmacology Association is continuously promoting regular academic exchanges with the Japanese Pharmacology Association, raising the status of the association by confirming the hosting of a large-scale international event called the Asia-Pacific Pharmacology Association (APFP 2028) in 2028, and is working to attract the World Congress of Pharmacology in Korea through close cooperation with the IUPHAR.
Following the successful Spring Pharmacology Symposium of the 31st Conference on Basic Medicine held at Kyung Hee University in June, Chairman Kang Joo-seop prepared various programs that will be practically helpful in basic medicine and clinical medicine through drug mechanism research, new drug development, and convergence with bio-related fields under the theme of 'Beyond Pharmacology: From Laboratory To Clinics'. Innovative and excellent research results will be announced, so it will be an opportunity for active communication between researchers and information exchange for subsequent generations of academics."
