In 2050, artificial intelligence (AI) predicted that the number one cause of death in the global community is 'antibiotic resistant bacteria'.

According to foreign media such as Daily Star, Google's generative artificial intelligence 'Gemini' analyzed that antibiotic-resistant bacteria are the ones that could kill humans the most in 2050

Antibiotics are drugs used to treat bacterial infections caused by bacteria. This drug can prevent the spread of the disease and plays a role in reducing serious complications.

However, if resistance is caused by misuse, the effectiveness of the drug decreases. Antibiotic resistance refers to situations in which bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc. no longer respond to antibacterial drugs as a result of misuse of antibiotics and is also called 'superbug'. There are no antibiotics to treat when infected with antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Zeminai added: "If current trends continue, deaths from easily treatable infections could rise significantly now."This is an analysis based on current trends and future predictions and may vary according to medical advances, public health policies and environmental changes."

It also stated that heart disease, cancer, climate change-related diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases will also be important causes of human death.

Meanwhile, ischemic heart disease is currently the biggest cause of death for humans.

Recently, the COVID-19 virus has become the second leading cause of death.
