A man in the U.S. has received a series of good luck in a day, making headlines.

The lottery, which I bought with the money I picked up, won about 1.4 billion won.

According to CNN and other foreign media, Jerry Hicks, who lives in Banner Elk, North Carolina, picked up a $20 bill on the road outside a convenience store on the 22nd (local time).

He considered himself lucky and tried to buy an instant lottery ticket that he often bought at the convenience store in front of him.

But it was sold out, so I bought another instant lottery ticket. When he returned home, he was surprised the moment he checked the lottery.

He won a whopping $1 million (about 1.38 billion won).

On the 25th, he visited the lottery issuer and decided to receive a lump sum payment of $600,000 instead of a 20-year pension.

The cash received after deducting taxes was $429,000 (about 600 million won).

He said he plans to use the jackpot to pay for his children's tuition and retire from carpenters 56 years later.
