drift more than 1,000 kilometers from the cold Sea of Okhotsk It's survived. Unfortunately, my brother and nephew, who were on the boat together, died.

According to foreign media such as East2West, Russian man Mikhail Pichugin, 45, left for whale exploration on August 9 and lost contact.

Mikhail, along with his brother Sergei Pichugin, 49, and nephew Ilya, 16, traveled from the Shantar Islands, known for feeding whales, and stopped due to engine failure on his way back to Ohashi on Sakhalin Island.

Russian authorities abandoned the rescue a month after the search, judging that there was no chance of surviving the cold stormy waters.

However, 67 days after his disappearance, Mikhail was miraculously rescued by a passing fishing boat. It was 1,000km away from where we lost contact.

With the help of a fishing boat, he arrived in the port city of Magadan with the bodies of his brother and nephew, who died while drifting.

Mikhail, who has lost more than 45 kg of weight, is being treated at a hospital. There is a possibility of legal punishment after discharge.

Russian law does not allow him to sail more than two nautical miles from the coast because his ship sailed far beyond.

Local police are aware of the situation of the incident and are conducting a close investigation.
