A sad story has been told that a man in his 60s who had a hit-and-run car accident lost his memory of 40 years.

Luciano Dadamo (68), who lives in Rome, Italy, was in a coma in a hit-and-run car accident in 2019 when he was 63 and woke up dramatically a few days later, according to foreign media such as the Daily Mail.

But his last memory was in March 1980. I couldn't remember anything about my life for 39 years.

Awakens from his coma, he said he was still 24 and waiting to marry his 19-year-old fiancé.

I even asked my mother, who died a long time ago, to call me.

Now he has not been able to recall any memories of his life, as well as his elderly wife and son in their 30s. There was only an old man in the mirror with deep wrinkles. It felt like I came from the 1980s to 2019 on a time machine.

Friends came to visit the hospital, but they seemed to be strangers.

Five years later, Luciano is still trying to regain lost time with his doctors and family.

There has been some progress. The memory of returning was the letter 'PN 2300' attached to the crib of the first grandchild born in 2014.

Building new family relationships with wives, sons and grandchildren.

Currently working as a school custodian, he is trying to get used to modern customs and techniques.

He is yet to be compensated for the 2019 accident, and he doesn't even know exactly what happened.

The hit-and-run driver fled and was never caught.
