An accident occurred at a U.S. airport in which luggage was sucked into an airplane engine.

According to foreign media, including Aeronautics, the luggage box was blown into the engine of the American Airlines flight AA47 Boeing 787-9 that left Heathrow Airport in London at around 4 p.m. on the 17th (local time) and arrived at O'Hare Airport in Chicago.

At the time, a truck carrying luggage was passing a taxiway between two airliners when the accident occurred.

Witnesses claimed that the passenger plane in front of them started the engine, and the luggage box passing behind it fell and flew toward the American Airlines plane.

The American Airlines plane was also in operation, so the luggage was sucked into the engine.

The luggage box fell on the runway, shattered from the engine.

The American Airlines plane's engine was damaged in the accident.

None of the 283 passengers and 12 crew members on the plane were injured at the time.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) acknowledged the accident and was briefed on the engine issue" he said. The investigation into the accident is currently underway.
