Hokkaido Culture Broadcasting said a first-year male student attending a high school in Hokkaido was found to have been continuously verbally abused, assaulted and sexually harassed by four third-year students.
According to a survey by an external committee of the Hokkaido Office of Education cited by the media, the student was verbally abused by four third-grade boys on campus and in dormitories for six months from June 2022 and hung upside down in the bathroom.
In addition, the perpetrators put drumsticks, ping-pong balls, candies, and snacks in the victim's anus and filmed the video.
Parents reported to schools and police, and the three perpetrators were sentenced to probation by the family court.
In the report released this time, it was pointed out that the school did not provide sufficient guidance and information even though it was aware of some damage, including sexual violence, and that the education office was late to respond.
