The Korea Racing Authority operates a period of fair consultation and voluntary reporting for horse racing officials
The Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan) will run a 'fair consultation and voluntary reporting period' for racehorse officials and other horse racing industry workers for three months from October 1st to December 31st.

The voluntary reporting period is operated to provide officials involved in misconduct with an opportunity to cut off from past wrongdoings and to lay the groundwork for a more transparent and sound implementation of horse racing.

The scope of voluntary reporting is prohibited under the Korean Horse Association Act and the Enforcement Regulations of Horse Racing, ▶ failure to demonstrate the racehorse's full ability for unfair purposes, ▶ providing information on the possibility of winning the racehorse to a specific person, ▶ signing a consignment management contract for the horse with the opponent, not the actual owner of the horse, or registering or running an unqualified horse ▶ purchasing, arranging, or taking over horse tickets.

Where reporting within the voluntary reporting period, sanctions may be reduced in accordance with the relevant regulations, depending on the transparency of the report and the attitude of the investigation. In addition, even if they are punished by an external investigative agency, they will try to make it as normal as possible. However, the regulations will be strictly applied to cases caught after the end of the voluntary reporting period.

If you wish to report voluntarily, you can visit the process management department in Seoul, Pukyong, and Jeju Horse Racing Park in person or by phone or e-mail, and you can also report by proxy through your family or acquaintances.

Song Dae-young, the head of the Korea Racing Authority, said, `I hope that through fair consultation and voluntary reporting period operation, it will be an opportunity for horse racing officials who have made temporary mistakes to start anew with self-reflection.'"The Korea Racing Authority will continue to do its best to ensure fair and transparent horse racing through continuous monitoring and strict investigation for fair racing."," he said.
