Novelist Han Kang was selected as the first Korean writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature on the 10th (Korea time).

After graduating from Yonsei University with a degree in Korean language and literature, Han made her first step as a novelist in 1994 after debuting as a poet in 1993. In 2007, he was appointed as a professor of literary creation at Seoul National University of the Arts. The novels 'Yeo Su's Love', 'Black Deer', 'My Woman's Fruit', 'Your Cold Hands', 'My Name Is the Sunflower', 'The Vegetarian', 'The Boy Is Coming', 'Doesn't Say Goodbye'.



Han Kang has already won the Lee Sang Literary Award, Hwang Soon-won Literature Award, Man Booker International Award, Kim Yoo-jung Literature Award, and Daesan Literature Award, and was considered the most likely Nobel Prize writer in Korea.

On December 10, Alfred Nobel's anniversary, the Nobel Prize ceremony will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, and the Peace Prize will be held in Oslo, Norway.
