It is shocking to see a mouse-like figure on the flight of Spirit Airlines, a low-cost U.S. airline.

According to the New York Post and Dallas Texas TV, passengers recently photographed the feet and body silhouette of a rodent appearing to be a rat in the in-flight lighting of a Spirit Airlines flight from Dallas, Texas to Los Angeles, California.

The video has received about 2 million views on Instagram.

The video shows that the rat appears to be inside the lighting on the ceiling of the room. It moves from place to place.

The publisher did not reveal the exact date, time, and route of the flight, but netizens began to deduce.

Spirit Airlines operates three daily flights between Dallas and Los Angeles: NK420, NK363, and NK3709.

Some netizens claimed that the plane in question was an Airbus A320 aircraft. In that case, it is presumed to be either NK363 or NK3709.

Netizens are asking "Someone would have to tell me what's up there","On a trip around the world","Is it a rat-watching in-flight service?" They are posting derisive comments.

The discovery of rats on planes can pose a serious threat not only to hygiene but also to flight.

This is because rats can malfunction or cause fire if they eat away at wires.

Last month, a mouse was found on a Scandinavian Airlines flight and made an emergency landing in Denmark.
