Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital 'Chungcheong Area Environmental Health Forum'Enhanced Mutual Cooperation System

On the 17th, the Chungcheongnam-do Regional Environmental Health Center (Director Lee Yong-jin) of Cheonan Hospital affiliated with Soon Chun Hyang University held a 'Chungcheong Region Environmental Health Forum' in the conference room of Cheongnam University Provisional Government Memorial Hall in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do.
The forum, which was held under the theme of 'Chungcheong Province Environmental Disease Prevention Management', was jointly organized by environmental health centers in three regions: Chungnam, Daejeon, and Chungbuk.
Starting with reporting activities by the center, the forum was followed by presentations on topics such as ▲ heavy metal environmental hazards and environmental diseases (Lee Yong-jin, head of Chungnam Environmental Health Center) ▲ Allergic diseases of households vulnerable to indoor air quality through lot monitoring (Hwang Seok-yeon, head of Daejeon Environmental Health Center) ▲ Exposure to fine dust and environmental diseases in Chungcheong area (Eom Sang-yong, professor of Chungbuk Environmental Health Center).
After the presentation of the topic, a discussion on the designation of environmental health experts was held. Participants agreed to strengthen the mutual cooperation system by sharing environmental characteristics, problems, and health cases facing the Chungcheong area.
Lee Yong-jin, director of the Center (Professor of Occupational Environmental Medicine), said "It was a good time for environmental health experts from Chungcheong Province with similar environments to form a consensus.""We will try to minimize the prevention and damage of environmental diseases of local residents by applying the contents discussed" he said.
