Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital expands intensive care unit to strengthen treatment services for critically ill patients

Suncheonhyang University Seoul Hospital (Hospital Director Lee Jung-jae) opened a new first-tier patient room on the 5th floor of Seobyeolgwan on the 15th. In accordance with the opening of the 27-bed intensive care unit, a total of 65 intensive care beds will be operated, including 28 beds in the double intensive care unit and 10 beds in the neonatal intensive care unit on the third floor of the existing Seobyeol Hall.

The first intensive care unit, which opened on this day, remodeled the existing integrated nursing care service ward and had six negative pressure isolation rooms, six beds, and 21 general intensive care beds.

The remodeling work was carried out from August 14 to October 6, and afterwards, it was opened on the same day after internal construction, clean room construction, and installation of various equipment and equipment.

It applied stronger medical law facility standards than existing intensive care units, such as distance between beds and wastewater treatment standards in negative pressure isolation rooms, and introduced PASS BOX that can effectively manage infectious diseases.
