Suncheonhyang University Gumi Hospital 'Evaluation of Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease Appropriateness' Earned the Best 1st Grade

The Gumi Hospital (Hospital Director Min Kyung-dae) affiliated with Soonchunhyang University obtained 'Best Grade 1' in the 9th chronic obstructive pulmonary disease adequacy assessment conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.

The adequacy evaluation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease has been conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service since 2014 with the aim of improving the quality of patient management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

This evaluation was conducted on medical institutions nationwide who treated patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease from January to December 2023 and evaluated in a total of seven items, including ▲ lung function test execution rate ▲ continuous visit patient ratio ▲ aspirated bronchodilator prescription patient ratio ▲ hospitalization experience patient ratio due to COPD.



As a result of the evaluation, Suncheonhyang University Gumi Hospital scored a high score in the proportion of patients prescribed for aspiration bronchodilators and the proportion of patients who continued to visit, scoring 88.0 points overall, higher than the overall average (69.4 points) and the average of the same type (80.8 points).
