A hospital in China has announced that it will start medical treatment for children who have difficulty studying physics and mathematics.

According to Shanghai TV and South China Morning Post, the Shanghai Children's Medical Center in China recently opened a clinic for space and math learning difficulties.

The specialized clinic will work with the Institute of Psychology and Behavioral Science at Shanghai Jiaotong University and will be managed by the hospital's mental health team.

The goal of the clinic is to support students who have difficulty understanding the geometry and spatial problems of mathematics, as well as complex concepts such as magnetic and electric fields in physics, molecular structures in chemistry, and chemical reactions.

Medical staff focus on identifying the root causes of learning disabilities through thorough examination and evaluation.

We then provide a comprehensive intervention strategy covering diagnostic evaluation, intervention guidance, parental education, and drug management by analyzing conditions that interfere with learning.

The clinic, which costs 316 yuan (about 60,000 won) per patient, said there is no age limit as adults may experience similar difficulties.

The clinic operates every Tuesday morning, but reservations for October have closed early.

A math teacher said "If we can accurately determine why students' spatial reasoning is weak through precise medical analysis and make necessary adjustments, it will help us study math."

On the other hand, another math teacher expressed concern about the clinic's approach.

He "There is a fundamental difference between the difficulty of learning mathematics and the disease. Various factors, such as inefficient methods, lack of interest, and low-level education, contribute to poor math grades, but there are no physiological factors.
