According to Chinese media, including Bonghwangmang, police in Nyosikou, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, have recently arrested and are investigating underwear thieves.
Police have received several reports of missing underwear from women in their jurisdiction.
One woman thought her underwear on the laundry rack had gone missing and was blown away"But the underwear in the closet is gone, too." he insisted.
She told her roommate about it, and she heard back that the roommate was also thinking it was weird because his underwear often disappeared.
Upon receiving the report, the police found that other valuables in the house did not disappear, but only underwear disappeared.
After analyzing CCTV and other videos, the police identified suspect A and arrested him.
More than 30 pairs of women's panties, 27 bras and women's socks were found in his home.
After admitting to stealing women's underwear several times, he said he committed the crime to satisfy his grades.
Police have detained him and are conducting further investigations.
