Treatment and Prevention of Hip Fracture 'UmiusActive', Obtained Authorization for Recognized Non-payment

The medical device for treating and preventing hip fractures of Yumi's Bio (CEO Yoo Chang-gon) has recently been approved by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (hereinafter referred to as the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service).

There are four types of medical devices, including belt type and panty type, that were approved by the Korea Appraisal Board as accreditation benefits.

These products are exported to more than 40 countries around the world by Titex, Denmark, and are causing a great response to doctors and patients in terms of effectiveness and satisfaction, such as publishing a series of studies on the clinical effects of the products in prominent international medical journals, the company said.

The company said "These products have patents in which protective pads are manufactured in the form of horse hooves to prevent fractures in the event of a fall, and they were released in earnest as they received non-payment permission from the Korea Appraisal Board. Now, patients with fractures and patients who were uncomfortable with rehabilitation and movement due to concerns about fractures in Korea are less worried."

`It is designed to be prescribed differently depending on the patient's condition, such as belt type, panty type, and open panty type,' Yumius Active explained."The panty type is not thick and has the advantage of not being able to show well in appearance even if you wear daily clothes after wearing them due to flexible protective pads, so it can be worn as underwear when going out or outdoor activities, and the open type has the bottom of the panty for users who wear adult diapers for reasons such as incontinence to use it without any inconvenience.'

Specifically "Both panty-type and open-type models are made of EMPA-tested textile materials from the Swiss Materials Science Federal Laboratory, which can be washed and dried even at high temperatures, making it comfortable for patients with sensitive skin to wear for a long time."The protective pad is designed in the shape of a horse's hoof and absorbs and disperses the impact on bones and skin tissues during falls, so it is the only product that minimizes the impact per unit area."

Yoo Chang-gon, CEO of Yumiers Bio, said "The belt-type product is Velcro, so it can be easily worn by patients themselves, and it can be worn by hospitalized patients or outpatients during rehabilitation training at rehabilitation medical institutions, spinal joint medical institutions, and nursing hospitals, reducing the risk of fractures by wearing it at home after discharge."
