The Horse Museum of the Korean Horse Association (Chairman Jung Ki-hwan) will hold a contest for artists in 2025 as part of its annual project to promote elegant horse culture and support art.

Both individuals and groups can apply for the contest, which discovers and introduces artists who produce art works related to horses (both flat and solid). The 2030 youth artists (born after 1984), the museum's location in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, and the preferential additional points system for art communities will also be maintained.

The society provides free support for about six weeks each to rent exhibition rooms, distribute printed materials such as leaflets and banners, and distribute press releases so that invited artists can promote their works. An event to present souvenirs as an SNS viewing event for visitors will be held throughout the year, and a separate support fee of 550,000 won (including tax) will be provided for the transportation of works.

The Horse Museum's first artist exhibition, which began in 2009, has reached 145 participating artists. On the website of the Horse Association, exhibitions of previous artists who held an invitation exhibition at the Horse Museum are introduced by year. What is encouraging is that the artists are not only one-time exhibitions, but are also working together to spread horse culture through art by continuously participating in public sculptures, picture books, souvenirs, and trophy designs organized by the horse society after the exhibition.

Regarding the contest, Chung Ki-hwan, president of the Korea Racing Authority, said, `Our invitation has just passed for 15 years, but I hope that the Horse Museum will serve as an incubator or an essential course for writers working on horses"I hope that new writers who take their first steps as artists will apply more," he said.

Artists who wish to participate in the invitation contest, which will be held from March to November 2025, can download the Korean Horse Association website or the Horse Museum blog exhibition plan form and submit it by e-mail from November 20 to December 6 at 5 p.m. with 10 images of the exhibition.

You can also check the review items and allocation in the notice. The results of the screening will be announced on the website of the Horse Racing Authority at 2 p.m. on December 8.
