Let's Run Park Seoul 88 Horse Racing Stadium on the 19th. With the clear autumn sky and green grass in perfect harmony, people's heavy but refreshing sound of iron hammer attracted people's attention. It was the sound from the site of the Korean Jangje Temple Championship, which marks its eighth anniversary this year.

The Jangje Temple Championship, which was held along with the Korean Horse Association's national equestrian competition, was held in each event from beginner to advanced and freestyle, granting participation to Jangje Temple's national qualification holders and horse-related specialized high school and university students.

Although it is a well-known job abroad, the concept of 'Jangje' itself has been considered a rare job because it is unfamiliar in Korea, but it has recently been known through a number of media along with formulas such as 'high annual salary' and 'unretired professional engineer'.

In particular, female Jang Je-sa and the youngest high school student Jang Je-sa have been born and are emerging as promising next-generation jobs regardless of gender and generation.

Of course, it takes an average of two to three years to obtain a national qualification for Jangje Temple conducted by the Korean Racing Authority, and it is not an easy process, such as having to go through apprenticeship training for more than three years.

In order to inform more people of the professionalism of Jangjesa and Jangje skills, the Korean Racing Authority not only recruits Jangjesa trainees and supports free education, but also discovers excellent human resources and supports participation in overseas competitions through the implementation of prestigious competitions such as the Jangjesa Championship.

In this competition, various types of horseshoe making skills, including rodeo horseshoes, Square Toe and Latteral Toe, were competed for 20 to 60 minutes for each event. Park Jung-yong, a 49-year-old priest with a qualification as a Japanese funeral parlor, attended as a judge to enhance the professionalism and authority of the competition.

A total of 24 winners were selected in eight events, including Kim Hak-jin, Kim Joo-hyuk, Sun Seok-beom and Moon Hee-won, who won first place in the top-class event.

The winners were given a small amount of training money and medals, and some of them were given priority to participate in the 2025 International Funeral Festival, which will showcase Korea's funerary skills on the international stage next summer when funerary experts from around the world gather.
