The Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan) successfully completed the 'Retired Race Horse Racing Championship" held at 88 Horse Racing Stadium in Gwacheon for two days on the 4th and 5th.

The Retired Race Horse Equestrian Competition is the first horse-riding competition held in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, in June this year for racehorses within three years of retirement from Gyeongju, and is significant in that it creates a foundation for self-reliance by allowing retired racehorses who are no longer competing in the race to be converted into horseback riding.

The competition, co-founded by the Korea Racing Authority and the Seoul-Pukyongyang Association, was held under the "Derverett Welfare Fund", allowing anyone other than horseback riding officials to watch it freely to raise awareness of retired racehorses and expand public intimacy with horseback riding competitions.

In addition to a total of seven equestrian events, including KRTC entries, dressage, and obstacles, various events such as a variety of experience booths and Wellbeing Horse Korea, which selects healthy and lively horses, drew great responses from visitors. In addition, through horse welfare quizzes, we had the opportunity to inform and communicate to the public about 'horse welfare' based on the life cycle welfare system of racehorses.

In addition to this, the event of 「Sending Cheering Comments to Retired Race Horses」 touched the hearts of many animal lovers, including horses, with a touching comment to the honorary race horse 'White Light', which recently became a star in the sky.

Chung Ki-hwan, president of the Korean Horse Association, said, `We will continue to make efforts to promote horse welfare and awareness of horseback riding through the retired race horse riding competition so that the horse's entire life can be managed healthily.'
