If you suddenly change the color and shape of your nails and nails, you should look carefully.

This is because you can suspect the deadliest skin cancer 'melanoma'.

On Instagram, dermatologist Lindsey Zubritzky, who has 1.2 million followers, urged people to closely observe changes in nails and nails.

In particular, he stressed that if you have black vertical stripes for no reason, you must get tested at a hospital. This is because melanoma is suspected.

She said "Often, they are mistaken for bruises and often miss the timing of diagnosis and treatment."

He then explained that "melanoma usually appears in dark brown or black stripes" and that "nails can also become thicker and split in the middle".

Another sign of the disease, which accounts for about 1 in 30 melanoma cases, is the gradual rise of pigmentation, which discolors the skin underneath the nails.

"However, black spots and stripes are not necessarily a sign of cancer," she says. "Most commonly, they are caused by skin conditions, warts or microtrauma (a painless injury that can occur when a toe hits a shoe repeatedly). Occasionally, there is a possibility of longitudinal melanocytosis," he added.

She urged "If you have anything new or changed on your skin, go see a dermatologist, and don't forget to check your nails."
