Emma Qureshay, an obstetrician and gynecologist in Houston, USA, claimed on social media that she never pee in the shower for her health.
She stressed that "there are opinions that recommend taking care of things in the shower to save water and protect the environment, but if you think about your health, I don't recommend it.'
It's for two reasons.
She first cited women's weakening of pelvic fundamentals.
Women's pelvic basal muscles weaken when they stand and urinate due to their body structure.
She says "When you pee in the shower, the muscle wall of the bladder does not relax enough. As a result, if the bladder does not completely drain urine and is repeated, the pelvic basal muscles may weaken", he explained. He also said that he may feel the urge to urinate frequently.
The second cited mental reasons.
Whenever I hear the sound of falling water, I want to pee. She explained "Creating a connection between the sound of water flowing in the brain and having to pee."
In addition, other specialists emphasized that hygiene should be maintained because there is a possibility of infection from a shower or bathtub.
