Woman Hanging Upside Down Amid Rocks Rescued After 7 Hours

An Australian woman in her 20s was rescued in as many as seven hours after falling upside down into a rock while looking for a cell phone.

According to NBC and other foreign media, Matilda Campbell (23), who recently visited Hunter Valley, a famous tracking site in New South Wales, Australia, dropped her cell phone through a crack in a rock while taking pictures. She was trying to pick up her phone when she was caught upside down between the two rocks. I couldn't move or get out of the narrow rock because I was caught in a narrow rock. Friends tried to get her out, but to no avail.

Eventually, about an hour later, the friends made an emergency call to the rescue team.



The dispatched New South Wales rescue team determined that the heavy rocks could be removed to save the woman.

Crews built supports and supports at the site and began using pulleys and special equipment to lift the huge rocks.



Matilda could only be taken out after removing seven rocks weighing 80 to 500 kg in total. Hanging upside down, she was released safely in seven hours.

With only minor scratches and bruises, she couldn't find her phone in the end.



A rescuer said, "I've worked for 10 years, but I've never had an accident like this before"Even in such a situation, she calmly waited for the rescue," he said.
