According to foreign media such as Daily Star, the Portuguese airline TAP Portugal Airlines plane found hamsters on board before arriving at Ponta Delgada on the Azores Islands, San Miguel Island, on the 12th (local time).
Airline and airport officials searched after letting passengers get off, and found that more than 130 hamsters escaped because the cages in the cargo hold were damaged.
Staff captured all the escaped hamsters until that night, but the flight's next flight was canceled due to a delay in time.
The hamsters were delivered to a pet shop in the Azores Islands, and ferrets and birds were also included in the delivery.
According to local media, the hamster consignment company used TAP Portuguese Airlines after being rejected from another flight because it did not meet the 'approved criteria'.
On the other hand, rodents such as hamsters and mice have a habit of gnawing at wires, which can cause serious defects in airplanes.
