On the 22nd, the Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan) appointed Kim Chang-won, former head of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's Financial Tax Complaint Division, lawyer Yoon Woong-jung, lawyer Lee Dong-jin, and tax accountant Ha Sang-hee as the new integrity citizen auditor. Discussions to improve integrity continued at the meeting of the Integrity Citizens Inspector General held after the appointment ceremony under the theme of 「The Direction of the Agency's Anti-Corruption Integrity Policy」.

The integrity citizen auditor system of the Korean Horse Association is an external control system in which external experts directly discover unreasonable systems, practices, and business procedures for the integrity-related tasks and projects of the Korean Horse Association and suggest improvement.

With the appointment of the new auditor, the Korea Racing Authority expanded the number of current employees from three to five. By utilizing the expertise of auditors in each field, it plans to expand the scope of activities such as system improvement recommendations, audit recommendations, and audit participation.

In addition, the Korean Racing Authority will expand its 2025 budget to strengthen integrity by about 50% compared to the previous year. Through this, internal and external integrity activities led by heads of institutions, executives and employees, and integrity citizen auditors will be more active.

Yun Byung-hyun, standing auditor of the Korea Racing Authority, said, `As we have expanded the role of an integrity citizen auditor, we will do our best to ensure that the Korea Racing Authority will become the best institution of integrity trusted by the public from 2025 by meticulously maintaining unreasonable practices and systems from the perspective of outsiders" he said. The Integrity Citizen Inspector General, who attended the meeting, then strengthened his integrity resolution, saying, `We will do our best based on our expertise and experience to create a clean and fair Korean horse society.'
