Amid growing anxiety over a series of `don't ask crime' in China, this time a car hit an elementary school road.

According to Chinese media, including state-run news agency Xinhua, an SUV rushed toward students and parents who were going to school near an elementary school in Changde, Hunan Province, on the morning of the 19th.

The released video shows several students and parents lying down.

It also shows dozens of horrified students screaming and fleeing to the school grounds.

The driver, who was dragged from the vehicle by parents, was arrested by police at the scene.

Police said they have arrested a 39-year-old male suspect and are investigating him.

Although the exact list of the injured has not been disclosed, they were taken to a hospital for treatment and are not known to be in a life-threatening condition so far.

Videos of the incident posted online are being deleted, and SNS related to the incident is also being deactivated.

In recent years, violent crimes against many citizens in public have occurred one after another in China.

On the 16th, a 21-year-old college student wielded a knife in Ising, Jiangsu Province, causing 25 casualties, and on the 11th, a driver rushed a vehicle near the stadium in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, killing 35 citizens and injuring more than 40 others.

Earlier in September, a stabbing rampage at a large supermarket in Shanghai killed three people and injured 15 people, and in October, a stabbing rampage near an elementary school in Beijing injured five people, including three children.

Media outlets said that while China's economic growth is slowing, crimes that appear to have randomly targeted the general public, including children, are increasing rapidly, and that we should be wary of and careful about 'revenge against society'.
