Daedong Hospital (Hospital Director Lee Kwang-jae) was selected as an excellent institution for cooperation in smoking cessation treatment for six consecutive times by the National Health Insurance Corporation.
Smoking is a major cause of various diseases such as respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and various cancers. To prevent this and increase the success rate of smoking cessation, the National Health Insurance Corporation is implementing a smoking cessation treatment support project, evaluating the number of smoking cessation participants and completion rates for medical institutions participating in the project, and selecting excellent cooperative institutions according to the results.
