A man in China has been found to have married and cohabited with five women for four years, shocking.

It turns out that even though the two 'wives' lived in the same building, they did not know each other's existence.

According to Chinese media such as the Shanghai Daily and The Paper, a 30-year-old man living in Jilin City, Jilin Province, was recently arrested on charges of fraud and serious marriage and sentenced to nine years and five months in prison.

With a respectable appearance and colorful speech, he lured women with lavish promises and fake luxury gifts under the false status of a quasi-chaebol second generation.

He boasted that his parents owned a large bathhouse and construction business, but in reality, his parents were construction workers and bath helpers.

He met his first 'wife' through an online game in 2019. I often sent her pictures of property certificates, luxury cars, cash and luxury goods to decorate myself as a rich son. In a relationship, a woman got married as soon as she got pregnant, but she soon found out that his property was false.

As a result, A started borrowing money instead of supporting her, and tired of this, she finally announced her separation.

For the sake of her child, she decided not to divorce and said she would raise her child alone.

Less than a week after she left, A met her second wife through an online game.

He cheated women in the same way as he did in the first time. He also asked her for 140,000 yuan (about 27 million won) for the wedding.

She put out all her savings because she believed she was marrying a rich man. She got married two months after they met, and she became pregnant, too.

After that, A boldly rented an apartment one floor below his first wife's apartment and got married again. The two did not know each other's existence, but they only found out on the same day after receiving a call from the police that an investigation into their husband was underway.

A, who succeeded in two fraudulent acts, deceived one college student and two nurses who met through an online game again in the same way.

He sent pictures of himself in police uniforms or attending company meetings to each of the women, giving the impression that he was a police officer with an influential family relationship, and emphasizing his successful and wealthy image.

One of the nurses promised a better hospital and status, saying he had a close relationship with the health authorities.

Having gained the trust of women, he started borrowing money, offering discounts on luxury items or borrowing money saying he needed it urgently.

Then, in April last year, the fraud was revealed when his wife, a college student, demanded the return of 10,000 yuan (about 1.93 million won) in tuition fees.

A handed her a bag and asked for 100,000 yuan inside but not to open it yet.

However, as the relationship grew awkward, she opened her bag and was surprised. There was no money and only expired massage coupons were full.

She reported A to the police for fraud, and he was eventually arrested.

The investigation revealed that he extorted more than 280,000 yuan (about 54 million won) from five women through fraud.

In a recent trial, a court in Jilin City sentenced him to nine and a half years in prison and ordered fines and compensation for victims.
