Gangdong Kyunghee University Hospital Gets Grade 1 of 'Tuberculosis Appropriateness Assessment'

Gangdong Kyunghee University Hospital (Director Lee Woo-in) won the first grade in the 6th tuberculosis adequacy evaluation announced by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service on the 30th.
The evaluation was conducted on 505 medical institutions nationwide that provided hospitalization and outpatient treatment to new tuberculosis patients between January and June 2023. The evaluation indicators consisted of five items: ▲ tuberculosis confirmation test execution rate, ▲ normal susceptibility test execution rate, ▲ rapid susceptibility test execution rate, ▲ drug prescription day rate, and ▲ treatment success rate (within one year after confirmation).
Gangdong Kyunghee University Hospital received a comprehensive score of 96.0 and obtained the first grade with a score higher than the overall average of 94.3 points.

The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service has been conducting a tuberculosis adequacy assessment since 2018 to improve the quality of tuberculosis treatment and to support the establishment of efficient national tuberculosis management policies.
