Gyeongsang National University Hospital, E-Circular Governance, etc. Agreement on 'Zero Electronic Waste'

Gyeongsang National University Hospital (Hospital President Ahn Sung-ki) announced that it signed a business agreement with E-Circular Governance (Chairman Chung Duk-ki), the only recycling mutual aid association for waste electrical and electronic products in Korea, at 2 p.m. on the 12th in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the Gyeongnam Regional Cancer Center.

About 10 key officials from both organizations, including Ahn Sung-ki, president of Gyeongsang National University Hospital, and Jeong Deok-ki, chairman of E-Circular Governance, attended the signing ceremony.

Through a business agreement, the two organizations agreed ▲support for eco-friendly recovery and recycling processing ▲ circulation utilization of unused electronic products such as medical devices and PCs ▲ mutual cooperation in the field of carbon neutrality and ESG management practice.




Following the conclusion of this business agreement, Gyeongsang National University Hospital will participate in the 'All Empty, ESG Sharing Resource Circulation Program' promoted by E-Circulation Governance, which will strengthen the electronic waste discharge and management system for medical devices. In addition, e-waste emitted by hospitals will be collected free of charge by E-Circulation Governance and resourced to iron, copper, and aluminum through an eco-friendly recycling process.

Ahn Sung-ki, the director of the hospital, said "Starting with the conclusion of the business agreement today, Gyeongsang National University Hospital laid the foundation for the resource circulation structure through eco-friendly recovery procedures and recycling processes for waste electronics."We will continue to do our best to implement ESG management in accordance with our hospital's ESG management slogan, "In accordance with the environment (E), trust in society (S) and transparent decision-making (G)"," he said.

Meanwhile, Gyeongsang National University Hospital, which held the 'ESG Management Declaration Ceremony' on February 21 this year, plans to continue implementing ESG management by issuing Scope III greenhouse gas reduction certificates, circular resource production certificates, and social contribution activities according to the annual recycling performance for resource circulation and carbon neutrality from E-Circular Governance.
