Hallim University's Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital Cheers for Amphibians 'Sacred Heart Ribbon Club' was founded

On the 22nd, Hallim University Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital (Hospital Director Lee Dong-jin) held a ceremony to celebrate the founding of the 'Re:born Club' with patients who have overcome cancer treatment in Seminar Room 1 in the 3rd building of the main building.
Hallim University Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital established the 'Sungsim Ribbon Club' in October to celebrate the cured cancer patients who endured long and difficult treatment and to support the bright future ahead.
Usually, five years have passed since cancer diagnosis and if it is well treated without recurrence or metastasis, the cancer is considered to have been cured. However, cancer patients are burdened by regular checkups such as performing computerized tomography (CT) periodically even after they are completely cured. Accordingly, Hallym University Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital will provide various health information and benefits through the Sacred Heart Ribbon Club so that cancer patients can continue to manage and live a healthy life even after treatment is completed.
The ceremony was held in the order of ▲ hospital president's congratulatory speech ▲ congratulatory flower bouquet delivery ceremony ▲am healing person's speech, and about 15 people, including hospital director Lee Dong-jin and vice president Park Sung-taek, attended.
The ceremony was filled with happy laughter from medical staff such as urology professor Lee Young-gu, breast surgery professor Ahn Soo-kyung, and cancer coordinator nurse Park Hyang-rang, and those who have recovered from cancer.
Members of the Sacred Heart Ribbon Club, who attended the ceremony, also congratulated each other by encouraging each other to overcome difficult cancer treatment. In particular, Oh Hoe-ok (69, female), who became a member of the Sungsim Ribbon Club through this ceremony, shared her cancer-fighting process and her feelings of recovery and thanked Park Sung-taek, the head of the medical department.
Oh Hoe-ok began fighting cervical cancer in May 2014. After hearing the suspected cervical cancer at the hospital in front of my house, I visited Hallym University's Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital and met Professor Park Sung-taek of obstetrics and gynecology. It is said that she did not even cry in shock at first after being confirmed with cervical cancer. However, he soon settled down and worked hard on the treatment.
Subsequently, he underwent a conical resection to remove the cervical tumor. As a result of the surgery, the cancer was more advanced than expected. The entire uterus and bilateral ovarian and pelvic lymph node resection, where the tumor spread over 6 hours, were performed. Six postoperative chemotherapy sessions also reduced the risk of recurrence. After overcoming a difficult battle with his strong will, he was finally cured of cervical cancer in July 2019.
