On October 18, Han Seung-beom, head of Korea University Anam Hospital, took office as the chairman of the Korean Orthopedic Society. The term of office is one year from November 1.
Han Seung-beom graduated from Korea University School of Medicine and obtained a master's and a doctorate from the graduate school, served as the head of the surgery department at Korea University Anam Hospital, the head of the medical cooperation center, and the head of the medical department, and is currently the head of Korea University Anam Hospital. In the name of knee, hip, and artificial joint replacement surgery, the first artificial joint surgery using navigation was performed in Korea.
Hospital president Han Seung-beom has published a number of academic papers, serving as the president of the Higher General Hospital Council, the director and the chairman of the Korean Orthopaedic Society, the councilor of the Korean Hip Association, the councilor of the Korean Hip Association, and the councilor of the Korean Fracture Society. He has also devoted himself to research activities for the development of medicine, such as demonstrating the latest hip replacement surgery to domestic and foreign specialists and finding optimal surgical methods and transplant materials.
