Kamala Harris, who lost to Trump in the U.S. presidential election on the 5th (local time), accepted the result and quoted the adage.
Vice President Harris visited his alma mater Howard University in Washington, D.C., on the 6th, when his defeat in the presidential election was confirmed, and gave a concession speech in front of him and Democratic supporters.
He `This morning I spoke to President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory"I will help him and his team to transfer power, and I will make a peaceful transfer of power."
This is interpreted as a clear criticism targeting Trump and his supporters, who did not acknowledge the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Harris then urged supporters to "never give up the fight".
He stressed that `the fight for freedom and opportunity, fairness and dignity, the fight for the ideals of this country at the heart of this country, the fight for the ideals that represent the best of America, I will never give up.' It is interpreted as an intention to remain in the political circle and to try again in the future presidential election.
It is also OK to be sad and disappointed at the moment. You have the ability to do amazing things in the world."Now is not the time to raise your hand, but to roll up your sleeves. It is time to organize, mobilize, and continue to engage in freedom and justice and a future that we can all build together."
Then quote the adage "There is a saying that you can only see the stars when it is dark enough."I know many people feel we are entering a dark period, but I hope not for the benefit of all of us. Let us fill the sky with the shining billions of stars of optimism, faith, trust, and service.
