Himchan Hospital Wins Health and Welfare Minister's Award for 10th Anniversary of the Foundation of Medical Sharing for the Elderly

Himchan Hospital (CEO Lee Soo-chan) received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award from the Senior Medical Sharing Foundation (Chairman Kim Sung-hwan) on the 6th.
Himchan Hospital received the award in recognition of its contribution to medical sharing and social sharing at the '2024 Business Performance Reporting Conference of the Elderly Medical Sharing Foundation and the 10th Anniversary Sharing Award Ceremony' held at Mapo Art Center Art Hall Mac in Seoul.
The Elderly Medical Sharing Foundation, launched in 2015, supports artificial knee joint surgery for vulnerable elderly people in medical blind spots. According to the foundation, 22,984 cases of knee artificial joint surgery have been helped to 15,439 patients by 2023, and about 20.8 billion won has been provided for surgery costs.
Since 2015, Himchan Hospital has been selected as a sponsoring hospital for the Elderly Medical Sharing Foundation and has been steadily participating in a knee artificial joint surgery support project to help the elderly who suffer from knee arthritis but are hesitant to receive surgery due to the burden of hospital expenses.
Chairman Lee Soo-chan said, `Even if the knee pain is severe, there are many unfortunate cases in which the elderly are not treated in time due to economic circumstances, but it is very rewarding to be able to support the elderly's knee artificial joint surgery with the Elderly Medical Sharing Foundation"We will continue to do our best to help the vulnerable in the medical blind spot become socially self-reliant through various social contribution activities so that they are not marginalized."
