Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, won the grand prize at the 1st Employment Consulting Performance Sharing Contest for the Disabled

On November 1, Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, won the grand prize, the Minister of Employment and Labor, at the '1st Employment Consulting Performance Sharing Contest' hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
Hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the 'Disabled Employment Consulting Performance Sharing Contest' was designed to encourage outstanding companies that are practicing a disability-friendly management culture and to spread an innovative employment model for the disabled by sharing best practices.
Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, won the Minister of Employment and Labor Award in recognition of its contribution to increasing the employment rate of the disabled in various jobs by utilizing the employment consulting project for the disabled by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. In particular, it was highly praised for promoting organizational diversity by deploying disabled workers to various departments in Hallim University Medical Center under the corporation, and for hiring disabled artists to perform and contributing to improving social disability awareness.
The revitalization of the employment of workers with disabilities is part of the management activities of Hallim ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) at Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, and the corporation established a roadmap for employment of the disabled based on consulting with the Seoul Southern Branch of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled in 2022. Since then, 70 new workers with disabilities have been hired at five hospitals under the corporation (Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, Hanlim University Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, Hanlim University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital, Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, and Hanlim University Sacred Heart Hospital).
Currently, Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, employs workers with disabilities in a wide range of departments, including operation support positions (pharmacy rooms, wards, physical therapy rooms) and office support positions (management teams, general affairs teams, and customer support rooms) in hospitals according to customized recruitment tasks for each institution. In addition, he founded the 'Hanlim Beau Ensemble' in 2023 and directly hired four disabled artists who are developing their dreams of becoming professional musicians, including cerebral palsy pianists, blind flutists, and developmental violists.
The number of disabled workers in the corporation was 106 as of January 2024, more than doubling from the same month in 2023.
Seo Kyun-seok, director of personnel affairs at Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, said, `It is even more meaningful that we have overcome the characteristics of the medical industry with low employment of disabled workers and have been selected as an excellent case.' `We will continue to provide quality jobs to disabled workers and fulfill our social responsibilities.'
The award ceremony was held at the Nine Tree Premier Locaus Hotel in Yongsan, Seoul on the 1st. After winning the award, Ilsong Academy, a school corporation, shared measures to promote the employment of workers with disabilities through an announcement of excellent cases and expressed its ambition to strive for a world where everyone is together in the future.
