The culprit of a series of shoe thefts at a kindergarten in Japan has been caught.

It was none other than a weasel.

According to Japanese media, including the Mainichi Shimbun, children's shoes were stolen one after another at a kindergarten in Aoyagi, Gogo City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

On the morning of the 6th, the kindergarten director reported to the police that the children's shoes in the shoe rack were scattered and several pairs were missing. Police arriving at the scene confirmed that a total of 15 pairs of shoes were missing.

However, the shoes were scattered the next morning, and three pairs disappeared again.

The police saw it as a theft and installed three CCTVs.

After that, a pair of shoes disappeared again on the 11th, and the police checked the video.

In the video, a weasel with a small shoe in its mouth was captured.

The weasel, who is the `criminal,' looked into the shoe cabinet and ran away with the shoe in his mouth in 10 seconds.

When the identity of the thief was revealed, the kindergarten and the police said "It is rather fortunate that it turned out not to be a person."

This is because teachers and parents were initially concerned that they might be perverted sexes with shoe fetish.

However, the missing shoes could not be found. To prevent a recurrence, the police took measures such as setting up nets.

Meanwhile, weasels are known to be animals with a habit of hiding things well.
