The Korea Women's Sports Association said, `New Chairman Lee Jin-sook was elected through the presidential election on the 23rd.' Chairman Lee Jin-sook presented an innovative vision for enhancing the rights and interests of female sportspeople and for sustainable development," he said on the 29th.
He added that under the leadership of Chairman Lee Jin-sook, we will further strengthen the rights and capabilities of Korean women's sports and focus on raising the status of Korean women's sports in the international community.
Lee Jin-sook, a former hockey national team member, served as an international sports committee member of the Korean Sports Council and vice president of the Korean Women's Sports Association, and is currently the executive director of the Dong-A Otsuka Marketing Headquarters.
The new chairman Lee Jin-sook emphasized that `systematic support and network reinforcement are needed to cover the life cycle of female sportsmen ranging from juveniles to retired athletes' and added,"We will continue to continue the tradition and values of the Women's Sports Council and make a new leap forward in keeping with the changes of the times." expressed his determination.
The Korean Women's Sports Association, launched in 1981, was first chairman Park Shin-ja, a former national basketball team member, followed by Hanyang Soon, Cho Kyung-ja, Shin Min-ja, Lee Deok-bun, Chung Hyun-sook, Kim Young-chae, Choi Yoon-hee, and pregnant women.
