A Japanese man said he illegally broke into someone else's house more than 1,000 times.

The reason was absurdly claimed to be a hobby.

According to Japanese media, including the Mainichi Shimbun, a 37-year-old office worker was arrested by police on charges of unauthorized intrusion into a house in Dazahu, Fukuoka, at around 1 p.m. on the 25th.

He told police his hobby is to break into other people's houses, and he has done it more than 1,000 times"When I think about whether someone will find me or not, my palms sweat and my stress is relieved" he said.

He was caught by the police on the report of the homeowner and his wife who were inside the day.

Police have detained him and are investigating his links to other crimes.

Netizens are asking "A really strange hobby"Didn't you just break in and steal?", "This is a mental illness."
