According to Indian media such as Jansata, Zara Bibi, 20, who was seven months pregnant, was killed in Dasqasi, Punjab, Pakistan. The body was damaged into dozens of pieces and dumped in a sewer.
Zara's mother-in-law visited her in-laws' house to find out her whereabouts after she could not contact her daughter from the 10th (local time).
Then the in-laws said "I left the house with jewels and valuables."
Zara's father, who was suspicious of this, reported it to the police two days later.
Police investigating arrested five suspects, and surprisingly, the main culprit among them was the victim's mother-in-law Sugran.
The other four accomplices were Sugran's daughter, grandson, and two relatives.
Zara, who died, had been married to her husband for four years and had a three-year-old son. The family lived together in Saudi Arabia, where her husband worked, and returned to her hometown of Pakistan two weeks before she died.
The husband remitted his salary to his wife, Zara, and his mother-in-law, who disapproved of it, reportedly committed the crime. The police explained that the mother-in-law, who felt jealous and angry when her son only took care of his daughter-in-law, committed a cruel act.
The mother-in-law insisted in a police investigation that `the daughter-in-law seduced her son with magic.'
The police said "The criminals killed the sleeping victim with a pillow, burned him, and then divided the body into dozens of pieces and dumped it in the sewer." The criminals all admitted to murder.
