Daisy Link, 29, who was serving time at Turner Guildford Night Prison in Florida, gave birth to a daughter in June, according to NBC News and the Daily Mail.
What was surprising was that at the time, she was serving about two years in solitary confinement without bail for killing her boyfriend.
I couldn't have sex because I had never gone outside the prison, but I got pregnant and gave birth.
The family demanded an internal investigation, saying she had been sexually assaulted.
However, it turned out that the baby's father was Joan Defaz, 23, who was charged with murder and was imprisoned on the lower floor of the same prison.
The two had never had sex or even met in person.
As a result of the investigation, the two were talking through a ventilation shaft and sharing letters and photos.
In the meantime, Defaz said he wanted to have a child of his own, and Link readily agreed.
The two decided to use a rope made of bed sheets and a plastic pack. When Defaz put his semen in a plastic pack and tied it to a string, the link pulled it and put it in his body. He delivered semen five times a day for a month.
In this wonderful way, Link finally succeeded in pregnancy and even gave birth.
She and her family called 'miracle child'.
The prison did not believe this at first, but was shocked by the genetic test result that Defaz was actually the biological father.
Now Defaz has been transferred to another prison, and their daughters are being cared for by Link's family.
Meanwhile, an expert at the Miami Infertility Center said "Their method had a less than 5% chance of becoming pregnant"It's a very unusual case."
