Professor Han Jeong-yeol of Ilsan Paik Hospital 'Safe Use of Drugs by Pregnant Women and Maternity Infants' is published

Han Jeong-yeol, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Ilsan Paik Hospital in Inje University, recently published a new book 'Safety Drug Use of Pregnant Women in Breastfeeding' at the Korea MotherSafe, which is the head of the center.
This book is a guide book that provides practical information for safe drug use by pregnant women and breastfeeding women. MotherSafe Specialized Counseling Center has compiled more than 2,000 drug safety grades and drug information accumulated over the past decade.
With a total of five topics ▲ Trends related to the use of malformations-inducing drugs by pregnant women at home and abroad ▲ Selection of multiple frequency critical diseases by domestic pregnancy preparation couples, pregnant women and lactating women ▲ Multiple frequency critical diseases before pregnancy ▲ Multiple frequency critical diseases during pregnancy ▲ Systematic information is included to safely use drugs before and after pregnancy, such as multiple frequency critical diseases among breastfeeding. Professor Han Jung-yeol said, `Aged women of childbearing age and women who are forced to use drugs due to chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and mental illness sometimes consider termination due to fear of giving birth to deformed babies.' `This book is a practical material that can be used in the domestic medical field and is expected to play a major role in creating an environment in which pregnant women and breastfeeding women can conceive, give birth, and breastfeeding safely.'
Meanwhile, Mother Safe Korea has been providing information on harmful substances of drugs to pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and prospective pregnant women nationwide through the Internet and telephone consultations since 2010. It also helps to continue breastfeeding through a safe method of taking medicine during breastfeeding.
