Professor Kim Kwang-ki of Gachon University Gil Hospital won the Korean Academy of Medicine Award for Contribution to Medical Artificial Intelligence

Professor Kim Kwang-ki of the Medical Device Convergence Center at Gachon University Gil Hospital recently won the Korean Medical Academy Award at the Korea Medical Artificial Intelligence Association (KOSMAI) regular conference held in Seoul.

The award was established by the Korea Institute of Medicine to promote the development of the medical artificial intelligence field and to raise awareness of new and innovative medical artificial intelligence technologies, and is given to encourage researchers in the field and to recognize excellent research achievements.

Professor Kim has contributed greatly to the development of the field through outstanding research achievements and active academic activities in the field of medical artificial intelligence in the past year, and has been recognized for promoting the applicability and innovation of medical artificial intelligence technology.




In particular, Professor Kim has been conducting research with an emphasis on applying medical artificial intelligence technology to actual clinical practice. Through this, it is attracting attention from domestic and foreign academia by seeking ways to increase the utilization of medical artificial intelligence in the diagnosis and treatment process.

Professor Kim expressed his acceptance speech, saying, `This award means that we look forward to further developing the medical artificial intelligence field through continuous research and technological innovation, and we will do our best to strengthen the status of medical artificial intelligence research in Korea and contribute greatly to the practical development of medical artificial intelligence technology.'
