Currently, 'Global Hit', which sits on the throne of Korean racehorses, is going on an away challenge with the goal of the world's best horse race 'Dubai World Cup' to be held in Dubai in 2025. At the same time, rider Kim Hye-sun, who is called the "global hit" and the queen of Daesang race, will also launch a sortie to quell the sandstorm in the Middle East.

Born in 2020 at Yeonhak Ranch in Jeju, 'Global Hit' is a domestic racehorse that inherited the lineage of the seed horse 'Tuener & Serve', which produced star racehorses such as 'Cheongdam Axe' and 'Bulma's Star'. After winning his debut race at the Busan-Gyeongnam Racecourse in June 2022, 'Global Hit' showed off his presence by winning the best stage of Korean racing in the first half of the year, 'Korean Derby(G1)' and 'Farm, Food and Rural Affairs Minister's Cup(G2)' entering the age of three.

This year, at the age of four, 'Global Hit' has swept a total of four grand prize race trophies, including 'Presidential Cup(G1)', which determines the strongest domestic racehorse, and is ranked as the strongest in Korea in name and reality. In the last 'Korea Cup (G1)', when famous Japanese and American horses were on the road, 'Global Hit', which ranked third after Japanese racehorses, was a disappointing performance, but it was the most threatening among Korean racehorses.

On the 14th, the Korean Racing Association announced the exclusive participation of 'Global Hit' in Dubai at the 'Run Selection Committee' held by the Korean Racing Authority to support Korean racehorses' participation in Dubai. An official from the Korea Racing Authority said, "'Global Hit' is a domestic racehorse, but it is no longer possible to find a rival in Korea. The Korean Racing Authority will actively support 'Global Hit' to promote national prestige by performing its activities on the world stage, starting with Dubai."

Kim Hye-sun, the soulmate of 'Global Hit', will also participate in Dubai. In the world of jockeys, which used to be called the golden girl's zone, Kim Hye-sun, who breaks through the glass ceiling and writes a new history every year as a female jockey, has been working with the place to give 'Global Hit'. The six Daesang race trophies won by "Global Hit" were all created with Kim Hye-sun.

Kim Hye-sun, now the reigning queen of Daesang Racing, said of her challenge to Dubai, `It's an honor to compete at the Meidan Racecourse in Dubai.' `I want to surprise the Middle East through the performance of unfamiliar racehorses from the other side of the world and female riders," he said, expressing his ambition.

This is not the first time for Korean horse racing to go to Dubai. The Dubai expedition, which began in 2016, was followed by 17 racehorses six times until last year. It is the best achievement so far that 'Dolkong' in 2019 broke through both the preliminary and semi-finals and advanced to the main line of the 'Dubai World Cup' and ranked 11th. Last year, two Korean riders competed on the road with two racehorses for the first time, drawing attention from horse racing fans.

More than any words that have challenged Dubai so far, the expedition of 'Global Hit' raises expectations. This is because it is the first time that the top-ranked horses have been away so far, but this is the first time that the champion with the best rating is away and taking on the challenge. Assistant teacher Bang Dong-seok, who is in charge of managing 'Global Hit', said "Most of all, I was worried about the health of the horse, but I decided to participate because both Maesang and Kim Hye-sun made strong decisions."I will participate in the Grand Prix on the 1st in my best condition and start the Dubai expedition as a representative of the Korean year with confidence."

'Global Hit' concludes this year's Korean race with the long-awaited 'Grand Prix'(G1) to be held at Let's Run Park Seoul on the 1st. 'Global Hit's departure is expected to be around early January. Leaving for the Middle East in a dedicated container 'Global Hit' will go through local adaptation training and start a full-fledged preliminary hunt in January with rider Kim Hye-sun. The Korean Horse Association plans to provide both physical and psychological support such as quarantine, medical services, procurement of goods, and local adaptation through professional manpower.

Chairman Chung Ki-hwan of the Korea Racing Authority said, `I believe that the performance of 'Global Hit' produced and raised by our country on the world stage will be a new hope for all Koreans beyond racehorse producers and racehorse officials.'
