On the 21st, the Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan) signed a business agreement to realize 'Public Institutions Without Disposable Cups' organized by Gwacheon City (Mayor Shin Gye-yong) in the conference room of the Han River Basin headquarters of the Korea Water Resources Corporation.

Fourteen public institutions in Gwacheon, including the Korea Racing Authority, Gwacheon City, Gwacheon Police Station, and Gwacheon National Science Museum, attended the signing ceremony. On this day, Gwacheon Mayor Shin Gye-yong said, `Gwacheon City and local public institutions will work together to promote the use of multi-use cups and contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society.' `We will try to spread to the private sector and become a sustainable city without disposable products.'

The Korea Racing Authority will also actively participate in the use of multi-use cups from next year after a period of advance publicity for the 「Public Institution Campaign Without Disposable Cups」. It is considering suspending the disposable cup of in-house cafes and introducing a full-scale multi-use cup, and plans to encourage customers to reduce the use of disposable cups by increasing the number of cafes subject to tumbler discounts in horse racing viewing facilities.



In addition, the Korean Horse Association participated in the 'Bye Bye Plastic Challenge' organized by the Ministry of Environment to spread its willingness to reduce unnecessary plastic use, such as the kenaf planting event, a carbon-absorbing crop, and a campaign to collect waste resources!' Various activities have been carried out to create an eco-friendly horse racing park, including implementation.
