On the 27th, the Let's Run Park Seoul Baro Market held an event called 「Kimchi Sharing Hanmadang of Love」 by the Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Jung Ki-hwan).

In a situation where the burden on households is increasing due to the rising cost of making kimchi this year, the Korean Racing Authority organized an event to distribute kimchi to neighbors in need in the community. About 100 volunteers from the Gwacheon Police Station, Gwacheon Women's Volunteer Fire Brigade, and the Gwacheon District Council of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association participated in the event. Volunteers carefully mixed and packed pickled cabbage for neighbors in need even in the cold weather.

At the event, about 2,400 kilograms of kimchi were made with a total of 1,000 cabbage and kimchi ingredients. The Korean Horse Association, which hosted the event, purchased and provided all ingredients from the direct marketplace 'Guacheon Baro Market' for urban-rural coexistence and revitalization of the local economy. More than 460 kimchi boxes completed by volunteers were divided into young carers and crisis families in need of help with community members such as the elderly living alone in Gwacheon, terminal cancer patients, North Korean defectors, and group homes.

Three directors of the Korean Horse Association's men's and women's table tennis and judo teams (Hyun Jung-hwa, Choi Young-il, and Kim Jae-beom) participated in the event, drawing the attention of volunteers. The directors, who wore aprons instead of robes and held cabbages instead of racket, tasted kimchi made with volunteers after the event and saved warm memories of sharing as a commemorative photo.

Chu Wan-ho, Head of the Management Division of the Korea Racing Authority, said, `I would like to thank the volunteers who made kimjang service by melting their hands for the neighbors around us in the midst of sudden heavy snow and cold weather.'"In addition to the kimjang event, the Korean Racing Authority will also practice sharing through various social contributions for the neighbors in the community." he said.
