On the 17th, the Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan) held a 'ESG Inspection Day' event with the CEO of the Public Participation Innovation Group to discover management improvements from the public perspective and to communicate more actively.

The Public Participation Innovation Group is a representative national communication channel of the Korean Horse Association, launched on August 31 to reflect the opinions of the people in all areas of institutional management from setting the direction of the project to feedback, and consists of three divisions: E, S, and G.

This event was held with a meeting with the CEO who introduced the management policy and the core values of the Korean Horse Association, 'innovation', 'communication', 'fair'. Since then, he has visited eco-friendly facilities such as sewage and wastewater treatment facilities and powder storage in Seoul's Gyeongju Park, and healthy horse racing counseling facilities (Yucan Center) to promote transparent ESG management.

After the business trip, various opinions such as suggestions and improvements were collected from the public's point of view, and the 2024 Sustainable Management Report was distributed to the Public Participation Innovation Team to strengthen the will to innovate ESG management.

Participating in the event, the Public Participation and Innovation Group expressed their impressions that the Korean Horse Association's ESG management efforts to be transparent, including environmental impact factors that can be perceived negatively, were impressive.

Chairman Chung Ki-hwan encouraged active activities and participation of the Public Participation and Innovation Group, emphasizing that "communication with the public is very important as it is a time when innovation is needed more than ever, such as online release operation and conversion of offline viewing space into future space.".

The Korea Racing Authority is continuously making efforts to reflect the opinions of the Public Participation Innovation Group in the management of the institution, such as the Active Administrative Idea Contest and the ESG Management Idea Contest. In the future, the Korean Racing Authority plans to expand communication with the public in order to become an institution trusted by the public by sharing the institutional management policy externally.
