A video of a 16-year-old Japanese sumo player overpowering an opponent twice as big as him has been released.

According to the Japanese online media Avema Times, Yasusei Hidenoyama (16) produced an extraordinary victory over veteran Takeshi Amami (39) in a sumo match held at Fukuoka International Center on the 2nd.

Yasusei, who entered the stadium, was 160cm tall and weighed 68kg, but he looked dwarfed by Takeshi Amami's 178.8cm and 167.7kg.

The weight difference between the two was about 2.5 times.

Yasusei was also called a "genius sumo wrestler" when he debuted in July this year due to his clever game management skills, delicate skills, and quick movements despite his small size.

In the match, Yasusei showed agility against Takeshi Amami and managed to drive him into a corner while preventing his opponent's attack.

He then walked on his legs and pushed Takeshi Amami out of the dohyo (sandpan) to win the game.

The audience celebrated the victory with cheers.
