The desert turned white due to snow in Saudi Arabia, a Middle Eastern country.

According to local media such as Gulf News, snow fell for the first time in Saudi Arabia's northern al-Zawf region over the weekend.

The snow is believed to be due to an abnormal climate.

Some media reported that it was hail, not snow.

The area is a desert with temperatures soaring to 55 degrees Celsius, so sudden snow or hail has become a shocking and mysterious sight for residents.

The Saudi National Weather Center (NCM) explained that low pressure was the effect of absorbing moisture and moving.

It also warned that thunderstorms with strong winds, poor visibility, hail and flooding are likely in the region over the next few days.

An unusual weather phenomenon was also seen in the nearby United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The UAE National Weather Center also cautioned against possible rainfall, thunderstorms, and hail.

Tourists and residents who visit the area enjoy unfamiliar scenery as they see the desert turning white.
