According to local media reports, a Boeing 737-400 cargo plane operated by DHL crashed a few kilometers before approaching Vilnius International Airport at around 5:30 a.m. that day.
The plane narrowly passed the highway and landed in a wooded area before sliding into a house and exploding immediately.
One crew member from Spain was killed and three others were injured and being treated. Some of the houses were also damaged, but residents on the ground were reportedly not injured.

Lithuanian authorities emphasize that there is no evidence of terrorism in the crash, but plan to investigate Russia's links.
