Researchers from the Schmidt Ocean Institute, a non-profit research organization, used an underwater robot to examine the 900m seabed near Chile in the Pacific Ocean and discovered a creature that resembled 'fake eyelashes'.
A real thin black bristles (a hair that is wiry among mammals). Or fur-shaped wiry bumps found in annelids and arthropods) on both sides, making them look like eyelashes. Sometimes it is seen as a cleaning brush or scrubber. This creature turned out to be a polymorphic species.
This creature also had rainbow-colored fur glistening in the light.
The institute said there is a pair of succulent projections called parapodia, which are covered with bristles called 'cheta'."
