The heartbreaking story of a Chinese woman who went to court after 27 years after the killer of her younger brother is reported.

According to Chinese media such as Jimu News and Dhawan News, the trial of the killer Lee Woo-hwa was held at a court in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, on the 1st. At the trial, there was a middle-aged woman with all her hair shaved and sitting with a picture of her father's portrait.

Her name was Lee Hai-yu, 47, who was the victim's older sister.

The incident began in December 1992 when Li Hai-yu's father and Li Hai-yu were employed in Hunan Province, arguing over wages. Since then, this fable has suddenly disappeared, and at the same time, Li Haiyu's younger brother, Li Huanping (then 9 years old), has also disappeared.

Three months after the police search, the body of his younger brother was found in a nearby sugarcane field. The whereabouts of the suspected killer, Lee Hsieh-fable, could not be found.

The shock left Lee Hai-yu's mother sick and lying down. My father also left home a few years later.

Eventually, Li Hai-yu had to take care of his four younger brothers alone, and he increasingly resented his father.

But it turned out that the father was looking for the criminal's whereabouts.

Lee Hai-yu, who turned 20 in 1997, also went out to find the culprit. I've been tracking for 23 years since then.

There were all kinds of difficulties, such as almost being trafficked, but he endured with the intention of revenge by finding the criminal.

Then, in 2014, his father also died of illness. Li Hai-yu, who was continuing his pursuit based on clues left by his father, finally found a man who appeared to be the culprit in Zhejiang Province in 2016.

However, the name was different and the neighborhood had a good reputation, so I had to find out more.

Li Hai-yu spent the next three years talking to this fable and online chatting and calling to dig up information by seducing or soothing, and was convinced he was the culprit in March 2020.

Trying to take revenge herself, she changed her mind to call the police.

A few months later, police arrested Lee on charges of murder 28 years ago.

However, the prosecution and the court released him, saying it was difficult to prove. Since then, Lee Hai-yu has continued to file a petition, and the police have launched a reinforcement investigation, and this fable has finally been arrested in 2022. He eventually admitted the allegations.

At the trial held on the 1st, prosecutors demanded the death penalty, the highest court sentence. The court said it would sentence him in the next trial.

Li Hai-yu said he would take soil from where his brother's body was found and sprinkle it next to his father, who was buried in his hometown of Hunan Province, when the trial was completely over.
